We hope this message finds you and your family continuing to stay safe, strong and healthy. As a valued member of our community, we appreciate the trust you place in us. Protecting what’s important is worth doing right. Rest assured, we remain committed to helping protect you, your loved ones, and our staff during these challenging days.
The COVID-19 pandemic has redefined the standards for clinical operations across all medical fields. Physical Therapy is no exception and has been deemed an essential service to address physical pain, weakness, and movement limitations for those whose daily living and independence are affected in a responsive and responsible manner. To continue providing the safest environment to protect the health of our employees and our patients, we have made significant changes to our protocols.
As an essential service, we understand it is our obligation to abide by the highest levels of sanitation and safety standards to provide the best care for our patients. We continuously follow and support all mandates issued by our local and federal agencies. We are regularly adapting our operations according to these safeguards to ensure best practices. We understand it is our obligation to abide by the highest levels of sanitation and safety standards to provide the best care for our patients.
When the time comes for your physical therapy visit, you may be wondering what precautions Shore Points PT is taking to ensure your safety. From treatment and waiting room disinfection, to the strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the safety of patients and staff members continues to be of utmost importance. All patents and staff will be required to wear a face covering at all times. Additionally, frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, chairs, tables, and bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected often. Other objects that may be difficult to to disinfect, such as magazines and other reading materials have been removed altogether.
Your check-in process may also involve a few extra steps which will help ensure the safety of our patients and staff. The process will include screen and triage questions, waiting in your vehicle versus the waiting room, checking your temperature, or asking that you follow social distancing and infection control etiquette. We also recommend against bringing companions to appointments unless necessary. If companions do accompany patients, they may also be screened during patient check-in and asked to wait in their vehicles during the session.
Temperatures will be performed on patients and staff using a digital temporal scanner to determine any early immune response and per CDC guidelines, your temperature should be below 100.4 without the use of fever-reducing medications. This will reduce the chances of exposure to both patients and staff within our office. Our entire team will be following ALL recommended precautions to treat patients safely.
Should you have any physical therapy questions or concerns prior to your appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us at 732-612-8412 and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Lastly, please stay well and we are looking forward to the re-launch of Shore Points Physical Therapy. We could not do this without you and as always appreciate your loyalty and support in these trying times.
Sincerely,
The Staff at Shore Points Physical Therapy
